I live in Southern California where it is chic to answer the question how you’ve been with: “Oh, I have been so busy.” as if it was a badge of honor. I admit I answer this question in the same way for months, but I shouldn’t feel good about it (see #1 below).
Saying, I am so busy basically means one of three things:
- I can’t sort my priorities and I hate it
- I love my job and the money I make with it
- I have nothing to do but I want to belong.
Wouldn’t it be fun if we answered questions like that?
