Sliced Coconut : It's Sliced, Not Broken

Survey Nation

“Please take a few minutes to complete a 3 question survey to tell us the story of your recent experience by clicking below.”

Sure, no problem it’s just three questions. Question 1 is a simple choice between one to five stars for the service I received. Questions 2 asked whether I would recommend their company to a friend on a scale from 1 to 10. Fair enough.

But question 3 asks for a description of my experience and what led me to give the grades I gave in Question 1 and 2. You have to write more than five words otherwise, your answer is not accepted.

In this case, a window pops up with the plea to give a detailed description because “our goal is to provide you with the best possible service and quality you can rely upon.”

A window also pops up if you don’t select five stars or a grade of 10 even after you completed Question 3. Since obviously not all issues were resolved please, so a message tells you, go and contact the service department and get the remaining problems resolved.

In other words, you simply can’t submit a bad review. Or more plainly, I am coerced into giving a good review. After getting so far only a few are willing to abandon the task at hand. But that would be the only correct course of action. Then you should call the service department to tell them their survey is broken…
